IPL AUCTION LIVE: SRH splash the cash on Romario Shepherd; MI rope in Jofra Archer

Close to 5 five teams fought hard for the signature of English all-rounder Liam Livingstone who eventually went for the Punjab Kings for a whopping 11.5 crores. Livingstone played for the Rajasthan Royals in 2021.

Punjab Kings also broke the bank for West Indian all-rounder Odean Smith who was bought for 6 crores. The all-rounder had two good series against England and India which certainly helped in pumping up the price.

Chennai Super Kings have splashed the cash on all-rounder Shivam Dube while SunRisers Hyderabad bought Aiden Markram for Rs 2.6 crore and Marco Jansen for Rs 4.2 crore.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals roped in Mandeep Singh for Rs 1.1 crore while Ajinkya Rahane was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders on Day 2 of the mega auction. Gujarat Titans roped in Jayant Yadav, Vijay Shankar and Dominic Drakes while Lucknow Super Giants bought K Gowtham.

MI BREAK THE BANK FOR TIM DAVID - Mumbai Indians, who have been very conservative till now, have finally arrived at the auction with the signing of Archer and now they have bought in Tim David. The Singapore international has been ripping it up in the PSL for Multan Sultan and various other leagues around the world.

SRH SPLASH THE CASH FOR ROMARIO SHEPHERD - The Sunrisers Hyderabad have gone big for some West Indian firepower as they buy Romario Shepherd for 7.75 crores. The West Indian all-rounder who also bowls at the death had some impressive outings in the T20 series between the West Indies and England.

CSK ROPE IN SANTNER FOR 1.9 CRORES - The Chennai Super Kings have continued to try and bring their core group back as they have purchased New Zealand's spinning all-rounder Mitchell Santner for 1.9 crores.

MUMBAI INDIANS BUY DANIEL SAMS - The Mumbai Indians continue their quest for all-rounders as they bring in the services of Australian Daniel Sams for a sum of 2.6 crores.

RCB BUY SHERFANE RUTHERFORD - Royal Challengers Bangalore have bought in West Indian all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford for 1 CR.


English fast bowling all-rounder Jofra Archer was sold to the Mumbai Indians for a sum of 8 crores. Archer, who missed the Ashes and the T20 World Cup, will also miss this year's IPL owing to an elbow injury.

DC BRING IN ROVMAN POWELL - West Indies power-hitter Rovman Powell has been bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 2.8 crore

CSK BUY DEVON CONWAY - The Chennai Super Kings have roped in New Zealand opener Devon Conway for 1 CR.

CSK ROPE IN RAJVARDHAN HANGARGEKAR - Chennai Super Kings have secured the services of U19 star all-rounder Rajvardhan Hangargekar for Rs 1.50 crore.

PUNJAB BUY SANDEEP SHARMA FOR BASE PRICE - Sandeep Sharma, who represented the Sunrisers Hyderabad, was bought by the Punjab Kings for his base price of 50 lakhs.

CHETAN SAKARIYA BOUGHT BY DC - Left-arm pacer Chetan Sakariya, who impressed with the Rajasthan Royals last season, has been bought by the Delhi Capitals for 4.2 crores.

KHALEEL AHMED SOLD TO DELHI FOR 5.25 CR - The Delhi Capitals have roped in fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed for 5.25 crores. They fended off stiff competition from the Mumbai Indians who are in dire need of some fast bowlers.

ISHANT SHARMA GOES UNSOLD - Senior Indian pacer Ishant Sharma, who represented Delhi Capitals last season, has failed to find any taker.

K GOWTHAM GOES TO LUCKNOW FOR 90 LAKHS - The Lucknow Super Giants perhaps got a huge bargain in K Gowtham for just 90 lakhs. The Karnataka all-rounder was sold to Chennai Super Kings for close to 9.25 crores last year.

VIJAY SHANKAR AND JAYANT YADAV GO TO GUJARAT - Tamil Nadu all-rounder Vijay Shankar, who represented the Sunrisers Hyderabad last year goes to Gujarat Titans for 1.4 crores while Jayant Yadav was also bought by the Hardik Pandya-led franchise for 1.7 crores.

NEESHAM UNSOLD - There are no takers for New Zealand all-rounder Jimy Neesham. Meanwhile, Dominic Drakes goes to Gujarat Titans.

LABUSCHAGNE, MORGAN AND FINCH UNSOLD - Australian batting sensation Marnus Labuschagne, England and Australia's limited-overs captains Aaron Finch and Eoin Morgan go unsold once again.

MANDEEP SINGH GOES TO DELHI FOR 1.1 CR - The Punjab batsman goes to Capitals and Super Giants tussled for Mandeep as the bid reaches 1 crore. Delhi takes it up to 1.1 crores and wins the bid.
